Information we collect
We may collect: account details you provide when you sign in; profile, CV, resume, career-history, and preference content you upload or save; job descriptions, URLs, saved jobs, and evaluation inputs you submit; public job leads captured through the extension when you use it while signed in; generated outputs, feedback, support messages, and interview-practice content if you use those features; usage and technical data such as device/browser type, approximate region, cookies or local storage, analytics events, and logs; and payment-related information processed by our payment partners. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. While you are signed in with our extension analysing jobs, we may collect those public job information.

How we use information
We use this information to provide, personalise, secure, and improve the Service, including role intelligence, resume and cover-letter generation, interview preparation, application tracking, account authentication, purchases and subscriptions, support, abuse and fraud detection, legal compliance, analytics, product quality review, and important Service notices.

Sharing and processors
We use trusted service providers and processors to help run the Service, including providers for authentication, hosting and infrastructure, payments, analytics, security, support, communications, and AI/model processing when you ask the Service to evaluate or generate content. They may process personal information only as needed to provide services to us or comply with law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not provide your personal content to third parties for their own AI model training. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.

AI processing and product improvement
We do not currently use your CV, profile, job descriptions, or generated application content to train foundation AI models. We may use your inputs, outputs, feedback, usage patterns, and operational data to maintain, troubleshoot, evaluate, secure, and improve the Service, including prompts, product quality, safety, and reliability. Where practical, we use aggregated or de-identified information for broader product analysis. If we materially change how personal content is used for AI training, we will update this policy or seek consent where required by law. Google API data is used only for the user-facing application email features described below, subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements.

Retention and security
We retain information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, maintain records, improve and secure the product, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain backups. Some data may remain in backups, logs, billing records, or legal records for longer periods. We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect data; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices and complaints
You may access and update certain profile information in the product. You may request deletion or export of your account data by contacting admin@offerunderway.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, such as access, correction, deletion, objection, portability, or complaint rights. Contact us and we will respond in line with applicable law.

International transfers, children, and changes
We and our processors may process data in Australia and other countries where we or our providers operate. The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
Connected Gmail
Connecting Gmail is optional. With your permission, we read your Gmail address, message identifiers, sender and recipient details, subjects, message contents and timestamps to match application receipts and recruiter updates to applications you track. Gmail grants read-only access to your mailbox; synchronization may inspect messages to determine whether they belong to an application. We cannot send, modify or delete Gmail messages.
We associate messages using application links, identifiers and sender information, and classify application updates using rules. Messages with an unconfirmed sender or outcome are flagged for your review. Connection tokens and retained associated message bodies are encrypted. Unassociated message bodies are not saved in the application email ledger. We do not use Google user data for advertising, sell it, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. Service providers receive data only to deliver these user-facing features.
Associated email bodies and event metadata are retained with your application and account; they do not expire on a fixed schedule. Disconnecting Gmail stops further synchronization and attempts to revoke access at Google, but does not erase previously saved application history or the encrypted connection record. You can also revoke access in your Google Account. Request deletion or export at admin@offerunderway.com; applicable backup and legal retention is described above.
Offer Underway’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Human access is limited to your affirmative consent to specific data, security investigations, legal obligations, or aggregated internal operations allowed by that policy. AI connector
Connected AI assistants
If you connect ChatGPT, Claude, or another compatible assistant, that provider receives the information returned by tools you authorize. Depending on the connection permissions, tools can read your original resume and contact details, upload or update career facts, save application answers, generate materials, submit applications you authorize, and read application history and interview reports. Access is limited by the permissions granted to the connection and can be revoked in the product. Generating new application materials may consume the disclosed application allowance; reading existing files and history does not generate new materials. Your assistant provider may separately process conversations and tool results under its own privacy terms.
AI Output and Responsibility Limitation
The Service may use AI to generate job analysis, resumes, cover letters, interview preparation, match scores, suggestions, and other content. AI output is provided for reference only and does not constitute legal, migration, career, financial, or other professional advice. We do not guarantee that AI output is accurate, complete, current, suitable for a specific role, accepted by any hiring platform, or that it will produce interviews, offers, visa or migration outcomes, salary outcomes, employer responses, or any other result. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, editing, submitting, and relying on any AI output. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OfferUnderway and its operators are not responsible for consequences, losses, disputes, rejected applications, platform restrictions, third-party claims, or other liability arising from your use, submission, publication, copying, reliance on, or failure to verify AI output.
